Old Server Retired - SWCIC Closed |

Our old server was retired faster than we anticipated and so we were forced to move DNS to our new server which was our work in progress. SWCIC is closed/suspended until further decision/notice made by Evaders99, the lead admin of SWCIC.

Server Updates: IRC All Better, Migration Almost Done |

We have moved IRC Services (which now support SQL) to the new server (iceberg.blazeirc.net) hosted on our new Luke server. Services are up, db still intact, glacier is still running and linked with iceberg for the present time. We have migrated BlazeIRC website and mail functions to Luke. We are currently in the long process of the automated migration of SWCIC and SWRebellion (With databases this time) to the new Luke server. It is almost complete. I imagine Evaders and Uliq and I will be doing some testing on it first before we make it live to the public. Boards will be reactivated when it goes live. We will announce this. In the meantime, please get on IRC (irc.blazeirc.net) and jump on #swcic and chat with us. Questions may be directed there. Thanks for your patience.

IRC Issues Continue |

Tuesday, October 21 2008 @ 03:03:18 EDT | | Well, I'll be posting updates on the IRC Server in the OOC forums > Technical Support Section. Please go there for updates. Current summary is the services db disappeared (though most were already expired anyway) so we have changed services software. We will test this out and see how we like it. If we don't like it we'll switch back to a newer version of the previous services. This testing software is, however, more featured, and includes support for sql which brings new possibilities in advancing in the future. So...we're going to test them. I have disabled expirations for all channels and domains automatically at this time. Channels and nicks will not expire.
