Board Laws

Ignorance of the Law is not a defense.
The first Law is to know and uphold the Laws. Read this, because you will be held accountable for it. Complaining later and shouting "I didn't know!" will not earn you any leniency. It is here, it is published, and it is Law.

Moderator decisions are binding on any participant within a Venue.
It is possible that a Moderator's decision can affect any and every participant within a given venue. A bomb goes off, an orbital bombardment, a poisonous chemical spill - it can happen, and if you happen to be in the venue at the time, you may not escape the effects just because you are not in the thread where it occurs.

Moderator decisions may only be overturned by the Administration.
If something occurs which suggests Moderator partiality or a departure from the rules or expectations of good sense, the participating Players should email the Administration at admin@swsimulation.com. Provide a short summary of your concern and a link to relevant material.

Do not God-Mode.
Your Character should not know everything, succeed at everything, vanquish everyone, and have precisely the trinket needed to defeat the looming obstacle. God-Moding is terribly poor form and can be grounds for address and reprisal from the Moderator. The Moderators are charged with defending the community from God-Mode, and as such are the ONLY agents empowered with its use. If necessary, the Moderator can and will bend "reality" to resolve any situation a god-moding Player has attempted to create. If you invoke "acts of god" to save your sorry soul, remember that the gods can be fickle, vengeful, and abrupt, and celestial hosts will line up to remind you of this fact. Moderators will address God-moding, and such actions will cost you all potential experience in the relevant thread and may go so far as to affect your life, limb, health, and wealth. Repeated offenses will be addressed OOC by the Administration, and may include banishment from the community.

The Boards are PG. Cursing should be limited to Star-Wars equivalents ("Scruffy nerf-herder!", "By the Emperor's black bones!", "Frelling traffic!") and 'fading to black' after anything beyond kissing is a good rule of thumb. In general, keep your actions and descriptions to things that would not make a grandmother blush or a parent think twice about letting their children participate here.

The In-Character Board (IC Board) is precisely that – In Character.
Any post made will be treated as an In-Character action, and Out-Of-Character posts are not permitted; Out-Of-Character posts are for the Out-Of-Character Board (OOC Board). The singular exception is when a player calls for a moderator review. If a Player consistently makes OOC posts, acts on OOC information, or similarly corrupts the intent of the IC Boards, penalties may be levied against the Player’s Character – experience loss, asset loss, ability loss, feat loss, and so on.
