Heh, it's not like I couldn't do this again in ... a few weeks for example
Kuat to Bilbringi ? Hm, somewhere on the upper left, near the planet should be the Bastion buoy and I think that's the connection. Since I'm a pirate on the German server I rarely go there, since the imps usually try to protect their traders in Coruscant, Corellia, or Tatoo
But you can try the sector map, too (F6). It's on the upper right of that window, next to the icon, that displays your own position.
From Kuat to Coruscant would work over Corellia (lower left, almost parallel to KDY), or Calamari (on the middle of the map's right side).
Your biggest problem at the beginning, apart from weapons, shields and money is, that your scanners are next to useless. They work for ~2-4k, IIRC, while higher ones let you scan at 12k and actually show stations and buoys, before you're on top of them
But once you've been scouting the maps for the first 2-3 days you'll know them well enough.
Just a hint: if something on the map looks big enough to hide something in it, it usually does

Hm, I've actually got an old pc from work, that I've prepped for this over the last few months. Along with my new router and all, I was planning to have it running a few hours each day, depending on how many folks would want to play.
My main machine, where it ran on last September is a 2.6Ghz AMD with 1Gig RAM, GF6600Ti and nearly a Terrabyte of hdd cap. However, the server I set up is a 1Ghz PIII with 256MB and a 160Gig drive, that would also be able to handle being a Freelancer server just fine
It really depends on your upload speed and your electricity bill, I'd say.
If we could have a 24/7 server, that'd be even better of course, but I have no idea if you can do that, either.
