Need people to write a newbie guide to get into the game... include an overview of the groups, simple questions answered, etc.

Also I need actual people here who would act as personal guides for their group Smile

Dont know if this is still Open but i was bored so here goes:

So, You decided to join up? Glad to have you on!

My Name is Jesmin and I'll be your guide as we work though the Process of Getting accustomed to the Site!

The First thing you should know is that this Site.. No, this Game! is spread across Several forums, 3 MGs (Master Groups) and One very Elegant and Ornate Piece of Coding (the character System, Which will be discussed later!)

Ok, So we have The OOC (Out of Character) Site: www.swcic.net, The IC (In Character) Site: ic.swcic.net, The RA (Rebel Alliance) Site: ra.swcic.net, The GE (Galactic Empire) Site: ge.swcic.net, And TS (The Syndicate) Site: ts.swcic.net.

Confused? I know, So was I when i first Started, So! To Help Alleviate that Confusion, I have taken the Time to Write up a Brief Discription of each Site and what it is for!

OOC: This is for The General Discussion about Anything, The game, and some Serious discussions

IC: This is where it all goes down, This is the Galaxy at Large, Where anything and everything can Happen.

RA, GE, TS: This is the Private Forums for the Master Groups, Where Non-Galaxy Affecting Things are taken care of (and in some special cases Some Galaxy Affecting Things are done here too)

Whats that? a Master Group? what is that you ask? Let me Explain:

A Master Group is basically a "Faction" or a "Team" That has a part in the Game. You will have to Join one to be a part of the game.

So what is each MG about? Here we go:

Rebel Alliance: This Brave band of Freedom Fighters wishes to Liberate the Galaxy from the Tyrannical Rule of the Empire. Motivated by their Passion for Freedom, They are well on their way to Liberating the Galaxy!

Galactic Empire: This Powerhouse of Galactic Rule is the Legitimate Government in the Galaxy, With the Might Imperial Navy to back it up, Few Dare to Challenge This powerhouse!

The Syndicate: The Subtle Criminal Organization... Not much is known about this band of Criminals, aside from the fact that They are growing and beginning to emerge from the Shadows of the Galaxy.

So, You know What MG you want to be a part of, Now how do you do it?

The First part, is to register! The Nice thing is: You Register on the OOC Site, and you are Registered on the IC Site already, as well as every other Forum in the SW: Rebellion Network (aside from the MG Forums)

So, you have an Account, Now head on over to the IC Site (here is the link in case you forgot: http://ic.swcic.net) You should see a Link on the Left saying you don't have a Character (if you are logged in, if not, Log in!)

So, You see the Link? Good! Go ahead and click it, You should see a page asking you what Species you want to be.

Those are the Choices For the Characters Species, Go ahead and select one, Make sure it is one you like!

Next you will be asked for some basic information regarding your character, Go ahead and fill that out...

So, You got your character made... Now.. Where shall He/She begin his/her Journey into the Galaxy, to forever make their Mark in the Universe!

Select the Master Group you wish to Join and Once you Select it, you will have to wait for an E-mail from a Master Group leader.

*fast forward a day or so*

So, You got an Acceptance E-Mail, and can now make the stats for your character!

Now, i would advise, if you are not used to this, get help! post on the OOC Forums Saying that you need help and our Community will be VERY Glad to help you out! We as a Community dont like to see Members mess up, as this is VERY Critical in Character Creation!

Well.. I guess that is it untill i figure out something new to add....

Nice job Jesmin, nice work, sorry for a late response but I wish to update this very important thread.

This a loud shout out to you Veterans, to help contribute what you can, NEwbies will be happy!

Regardless that Jesmin practically did an amzing job which is second to none, and I doubt many else could do such a fine job, It's nice to see others play their part too. Even though I doubt even a newbie to RPG'ing such as myself, could do a better job, I encourage others to try, it is all overall appreaciated by us.

Anyways, I need you guys to keep the Recruitment rates up, really it isn't hard, since this game is so simple to learn. Just tell friends and keep them interested.
