Introduce yourselfs everyone!

I'm Evaders99 - I really have no life. That's why I've been a part of this community from the start. I played a character named Ying Lee - a retired Rear Admiral of the Imperial Navy. Since the formation of SWS, I've been dedicated to running the OOC side of things. All the technical and backend work you see here.

A little history:
I've seen a lot through this community, I guess it would start with working on the INGv3 and the ICCv4 in the time when we were part of SWC. http://ge.swcic.net/INGPastShots.php
This was the basic central hub of the Galactic Empire. And further, I lead work on the INGv4 to make it even better. Its what you see now at http://ge.swcic.net (with slight upgrades here and there)

In April 2003, we sought to save the SWCE community by becoming independent. http://ge.swcic.net/index_archives.php?site=-1&news_id=1
Working behind the scenes, I got started on the site that would become SWS. This was released in March 2004 - http://www.swcic.net/article10.html

A lot of work has been done since then. I've been a part of
a) formation of the Rebel Alliance, a great group of players - http://ra.swcic.net
b) formation of the Hutt Syndicates
c) creating the Character Creation area: June 2004 http://www.swcic.net/article20.html
d) release of the site theme: December 2004
http://www.swcic.net/article-35-thread-0-0.html
e) release of the IC forums and site: December 2004
http://www.swcic.net/article37.html

Now, in November 2005, the community again is hosted on SWCIC. This is a throwback to swcic.net who ran the IRC servers on that address for quite a while - now blazeirc.net (thanxs Stratus)
Throughout this all, I've managed the technical ends, moving from server to server, making sure the website and all its code function correctly. It's a lot of work Smile

What's for the future? We'll see. But I hope we can have fun and continue to work on this wonderful community

Hello everyone,

Im Jim Stratus, and Im ancient. I helped with overall development (non-coding) for the original SWS when it was first in the works with Charon, Evaders, and the gang. Evaders has asked me to come back as some kind of staff person. Not sure what yet but Im sure it will be figured out lol.

I first joined the SWCombine six years ago in the Empire. I have also been on staff at our webhost SWRebellion.com for a good 7 years or so. I ran an RPG on SWR for a while and now still run my own RPG with a small group of friends and it has been going for 3 years.

I look forward to working with the staff and helping serve you all.

Wazzup ?

Guess it's my turn to introduce myself now Smile
A lot of folks on swrebellion.com should know me as the MASK, for almost four years now. That's where I know Evaders and Stratus from and it was also my initial motivation, to try out what an online RPG would be like. Here in this community, you'll rather know me as Uliq, though. Yeah, the healthy skin color is the same Very Happy

Being no stranger to online communities, I'm still amazed at how easy it is, to become a part of them and that you can just as easily find friends all over the world. This is something I wouldn't have thought possible 15 or maybe even 10 years ago.

When I first joined the Rebel Alliance, the group was quite small compared to what it is now, but I'm glad to have been part of in its subsequent growth. I've seen both swr and sws through good and bad times, but in the end this is what it narrows down to, being part of a whole and helping to keep it alive.

Hi, uh, well, My name is Joshua, really, it actually is! The last name is not the same though! I have no life either. In RL, I am a volunteer firefighter, hopeless college student and a big Star Wars fan. I found SWS last year and joined because I was intrigued by the idea of text-based RPG. As of lately, I have begun to be more of an online gamer, but this is probably one of the longest online communities I've been with along with SWR as well! Very Happy

As this account username shows, I'm Thumper on the SWR boards, though I'm a horrible lurker there. To make a long story short, a little over a year ago a couple people from SWR (you two know who you are Razz ) brought me over to the SWS RA, where I'm known as CC. Ever since, I've been causing trouble there and loving it.

I don't have nearly the resume other people here do. SWS was my first true online RPG--most of my background is in tabletop RP'ing. Um, what else...I enjoy writing, I'm available for grunt work, and I have a decent collection of d6 and d20 SW RPG books. Other than that...um...err...eh... nothing to see here. Move along, move along. Laughing

~CC~

I'm SyberJedi, the person who knows a lot about the Force. I've been involved with online Star Wars gaming for 7 years now, having originally started in SWC, and then sticking with Charon when we all left to form what would become SWS. I departed SWS after the administration changed over, and it was decided that the Force rules that I (along with Evaders and Cresh) worked so hard and long on were not going to be used.
I'm a long time Star Wars gamer, having started actualy SWRPGing in 1990, with the original d6 game that West End Games put out. I'm also a long time fan of the series, my interest and love for the movies dating back to 1976, when the commercials were first aired on tv for what would come to be known as Episode 4, A New Hope.
At the moment, I am not returning to the IC side of things here. I'm going to leave my character, Kaylene SyberJedi of the Galactic Empire in retirement. Instead, I will be involved on an OOC level, working on finishing up my Force rules work, and beta testing whatever Evaders wants me to, once I have my computer up and running again.

I am Joshua Furlong, well at least in here I am, a friend once refered to me as 'the-man-with-the-1,000-names' and that's not far from the truth. My roleplaying goes back to 1998 when I got together with some friends and roleplay, we played the FUZION system back then and after that night we continued our escapades by getting together a few times per month to play pen & paper games. Although we don't get together that often anymore we do continue to play. In 2000 I moved to online and started my life in the Combine, many games in many genres came after that. After about 2 years I'd seen the combine enough and I left. I kept myself busy with other games and school mostly. My return to Starwars came in July 2004 when I returned to the combine. In April 2005 I joined another game Star Wars Visions in the hope to find good roleplaying there. I did found roleplaying there, but also something that I didn't like at all. Although not officially resigned I just don't come there anymore and I went looking for something else. Then at the end of September maybe just a few days before graduation I found the SWS. When the game was shut down I didn't like the prospect of having to see another game go to waste (as the combine did before, but which I do still play) and I came here, hoping to find that roleplaying community still active.

So now you see I might be relatively new here, but I'm not new to roleplaying and the Star Wars Universe in general. I hope this game will turn out like I hoped it would and not turn into the pushbutton community the combine has.

Well, I'm Jessica as it says over there under my avi :p

Anyway....I've been in the SW RPGing side of things since begining of 96. It all started on AOL...when I did some search for the keyword star wars, and it brought me to a Simulation Forum (as it was called) SWSF (It was originally called Star Wars Simulation Forum, but then it changed to Space Wars because of copyright laws or something or other) anyway...my obsession started there. I had originally wanted to be a writer, so the idea of posting IC and stuff was enthralling. I was an addict for a good 4 years before RL started getting in the way (hehe). Then I RPed on and off. I wass a part of a group called the Liberator....an RA based simulation, we met in mIRC once a week to do a sim, and then the other days were left to board roleplaying. Small group of maybe 10. We stayed together for 2 years before RL got in the way of the leaders. I bounced in and out of sims after that, I had quit AOL like..in 2000 I think, plus the community there had died by then. So I got into www gaming. I honestly forget which board was the first to join after AOL....I've been to so many lol...I've had the privledge of RPing with Darling Eric, Wonderful James Stratus, and sweet Uli. (no egos allowed guys ;p) I look foward to getting to know you better, Evaders/Lee...whichever you prefer. Smile

I will say that with my 10 years of doing this I have made great unforgettable friends, that even though we don't talk as much anymore because of RL, when we do its like talking to ANY old friend from real life. I agree with Uli...its amazing how easy it is to make friends here...I never thought it would be such an addiction in my life. Of course, now that I have a baby girl

http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/a/averykarah/

(had to plug her in there :p) She's become my addiction...and my personality can only hold one 1/2 addictions at a time :p *looks at her dusty PS2 system and appologizes* So thats why I am not as active as I would love to be. But I will say as long as there is a SL (storyline) My char can be a part of, I WILL ALWAYS WRITE! Smile

I’m a 24 year old soldier in Egypt. I Started RPing ages ago on AOL. Fantasy at first but then Star Trek. I didn’t start get much into Star Wars until I joined the Combine which was almost four years ago ( now I have the Imperial Insignia tattooed on my forearm ). Less than a year after that Charon was dethroned and I became a founding member of the Galactic Empire in Charon’s game. Eventually we decided it call it Star Wars Simulations. My highest position within the Empire was Chief of Military Operations ( Equivalent to a Grand Admiral ). Now I'm going back to killing Very Happy

I'm a bored sixteen year old in south louisiana and I started role playing in 2000 or 2001 over at SWC, after my first character was killed by my estranged uncle Dale, I joined SWU, from SWU I drifted to SWS, and so on. I have been involved in almost every Star Wars Acronym out there, in some way shape or form, for atleast a week. I went to Vietnam about a month ago and used the opportunity to seperate myself from my beloved roleplaying hobby, a trial seperation, if you will. Well I'm back, and upon my return I was approached by one Rahde Cadriaan (or how ever you spell his name). Rahde told me that he was far to lazy to run the Syndicate here, and wondered if I were interested, I told him I'd look into it..so..here I am!

Names Ken. I play practically every Star Wars game, read every Star Wars book, seen every movie, etc. So obviously when I found SWC, I was infintessimally tempted to join. After my first chracter (Jorj Kell, August 2004-December 2004) was killed (aborted into a star) I got bored waiting for myself to respawn and searched for more ways to rp online in some Star Wars fashion. So, I came to SWS as Ken Tatsujin (December 2004-present), who turned out to be my second character in SWC (January 2005-November 2005). I went into RA here and have been there since. Soon I came under the understanding that the combine wasn't worth it, but I ended up staying for the friends. So, I joined SWV (April 2005-present) where I belong to the Order.

My staying up with SWC went for naught. I took over BlasTech Industries in July 2005. However, I did not end up seeing eye to eye with my owneers and dissolved the faction. I attempted to put it back together but was banned (wrongfully imo) for multis. I came back 2 months later, to find that the inflation I was depending on to recreate BlasTech was gone and I had to sell everything just to get enough money. I was 5 million creds and 2 members away from recreating it when I was executed by Black Sun, still unsure as to the reason. I still mod for the ws boards there and have a character, but only for the people I consider friends.

So, there you have it. Compared to many people I am relatively new to the rp universe, but I like to think my experiences have taught me many things and I am the better for it.

SWS: Ken Tatsujin
SWC: Ryu Zamasee
SWV: Ken Kell
IRL: James Nicholson

Yo peeps, I’m 20 and I’m known as “Dayton” even when a character I play isn’t even named Dayton. I got into this business of RPing when I was in 8th grade doing things on Yahoo and everything. From Yahoo I got into chatroom RPGs and from there I kinda went into hiding. This was at the end of my Sophomore year and the beginning of my junior year until Davar (who happens to be one of my former high school teachers) got me into SWC. I joined SWC and joined the Empire in February 2002. When I got into it I was in the Navy – and then things went from there. Charon got booted, and crap hit the fan. Anyways, when SWCE split from SWC I stayed in SWC and joined SWS. I joined the Navy in SWS and from there kept on going. I then went to the Army and made my way up the ranks. From there it’s all good.

I do website design, and graphics design when I’m not doing the things I have to do (right now I’m in a Federal Job training program called “Job Corps” when takes all of my time. Idaho sucks, btw.)

I’m on the Graphics Team and hopefully going to be doing more things when I get out of school. 

I’m originally from Mount Vernon, WA but I’m currently in Nampa, Idaho.

Here's my contact info:

msn: dayton@ge.swsimulation.com
ICQ: 274256934
Email: dayton@swcic.net (this is for graphics team stuff only and stuff that relates to SWCIC on an OOC basis only. If you need to send me stuff ICly, then send it to me at coraldayton@gmail.com.
