Heh and I wondered why the two of you were gone all of a sudden from the server's status display.
My dsl connection was probably severed by the provider after 24h. I'm restarting it now. |

Ok, some 30 hours later, I'm closing the server down for now.
Thanks for everyone, who came and gave it a try. Hopefully we'll be able to get even more people on next time and have some PC Vs PC dogfights.
I'll see to it, that you get a bit more of an advance warning next time, as well
So, keep your Freelancer cds within reach... |

No, I only see to it, that it works with the retail version of the game (which is available for 10 Euros, anyway).
That's as far as that particular discussion will go
Josh, no worries. I didn't get to play as much either. Had to get all the necessary data from the main hdd on the other computer, that suddenly decided to give up on me. |

If you finish the last missions, then you're ready for what the higher level NPCs throw at ya, Evaders
Just ... that you don't get those handy repair bots with Freeworlds |

LOL I'm sure I'll get mad-screwed in multiplayer. I don't have the time to really develop skills to play like an expert, so I'll play like a noob |

Hehe, no worries. I draw mainly from my years of experience with XWA and the likes. No time to train either, like I see some people do each day. But it makes me feel quite Corellian, if I can shoot one of them down, too
My best advice for flying Freeworlds is to keep being unpredictable and have a steady aim. |

I have experience in... X-Wing
At least its mouse and keyboard, though slightly different. And I haven't played X-Wing really in years. Never developed a joystick crutch though, I guess that's a good thing not really having played through XWA then |

Hm, depends
If you had fun to go after that one elusive Tie, while 10 others were racing after you, then yeah, that was not much different in XWA. Just more ships and better graphics ^^ |
