Meh, I don't think that a CON modifier change would affect your previous level's VP. I'll also look in the RCR, and post the page where that is answered later.

Either way, yes, at 1st level, you should get +1 VP for a CON of 12, at first level. However, I'm guessing that no one else did, either, so we're all still being created the same way, which is the important part. Very Happy

Jedi Counseling 61

If you look at the second Q&A under Star Wars Roleplaying Game Questions, it states:

Quote:
Q: When you level your character and gain a bump in Constitution to an even number, do you gain vitality points retroactively? I ask this because page 18 of the Revised Core Rulebook says, "If a character's Constitution changes, his or her vitality and wound points change accordingly." However, page 38 says, "If your character's Constitution increases, increase his or her wound point total to match. If the Constitution modifier increases, the new bonus only applies to vitality points from this level forward." This seems to be a contradiction in rules.

A: Page 18 is correct, and page 38 is not. Constitution changes are retroactive for purposes of calculating both vitality points and wound points. Consider this to be errata.

Either way, the system SWCIC uses isn't exactly D20, due to coding issues. It's unfortunate, I know I'd certainly like some things to be closer to the D20 rules, but that's how they are thus far.

If I recode things for Saga, I will make sure the +CON mod is there. I don't know if it will be retroactive... it would be tougher to code. I don't think anyone will be lacking for HP since the Max is applied rather than a dice roll. I know my own maxed Saga character got up to 188.

The max is only applied at first level. I hope that what you will code. :)

I'm not applying a dice roll... otherwise everyone will keep rolling until they get a max anyway.

You could have it roll when they submit their new level. This way its final and no reroll is possible.

That should work, just do an automatic roll when they submit their sheet.
